There supposedly seven books in the series and the two prequels before this third volume are A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings. Just like its two predecessors, this book also got generally positive responses and reviews from critics. It also won couple of award. According to plan, HBO will adapt the first half for the third season of Game of Thrones television series.

George R.R. Martin started his epic fantasy of A Song of Ice and Fire with the first novel entitled A Game of Thrones. This will be the first book of the supposedly 7-volume series. First published in 1996, the book got great responses and had won couple of awards in the following years. A television series adaptation had also been made and broadcast by HBO, since 2011.

A Dance with Dragons.pdf (eBook) by George R. R. Martin

Initially, when George R. R. Martin just started and still planned to make A Song of Ice and Fire as a trilogy, A Dance with Dragons was intended to be the title of the second novel in the series, right after the first volume: A Game of Thrones. Along the way, Martin decided to expand the series into seven books and instead of the second, the title was used for the fifth book that was released in 2011. Just like its direct prequel, A Feast for Crows (the fourth volume), it also reached number 1 in New York Times bestseller list in its debut.
